Welcome to the official website of Shree Mahakal Mandir Management Committee, Ahmedabad . By accessing or using this portal to book darshan, arrange poojas, make donations, or purchase items from the temple shop, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions.
1. Darshan & Pooja Online Booking
- All devotees must carry the original photo ID (Aadhaar, Passport, Voter ID) submitted during the online booking process. Mismatched IDs will result in denial of entry without refund.:
- Devotees must adhere to the severe dress code constraints for Bhasma Aarti (Dhoti-Kurta for men / Saree for women). The Trust reserves the right to deny entry to anyone improperly attired.:
- Booking receipts, QR codes, and tickets are strictly non-transferable and non-refundable.:
- You must report to the specified entry gate at least 45 minutes prior to your selected slot. Late arrivals forfeit their darshan slot.:
2. Temple Shop & Prasad Delivery
- Prasad and pooja items are dispatched via India Post or partnered couriers within 3-5 working days. International shipping is currently limited to specific items.:
- Due to the sacred nature of Prasad (edibles) and Rudrakshas, we do not accept returns. If your package arrives damaged, please contact support within 24 hours with photographs.:
- The availability of specific Bhasma Prasad is limited. We process orders on a first-come, first-served basis.:
CAUTION: The official Mahakal Mandir Trust does NOT authorize any third-party agents, pandits, or travel agencies to sell VIP Darshan or Bhasma Aarti tickets at a premium. Tickets can only be booked securely via this portal. Beware of fraudulent websites.
3. Online Donations & 80G Certificates
All donations made through this website go directly to the official bank account of the Temple Management Committee.
- By default, donations are non-refundable. If your account is debited multiple times due to a technical error, contact the helpdesk within 48 hours for a refund of the duplicate amount.
- To receive an 80G Tax Exemption Certificate, a valid PAN card number must be provided at the time of donation. Certificates cannot be generated retroactively.
4. Code of Conduct inside Temple Premises
While visiting the temple, all devotees are legally required to maintain the sanctity of the shrine:
- Photography and videography are strictly prohibited inside the Garbhagriha (Main Shrine) and Nandi Hall. Mobile phones must be deposited in the cloakroom or kept switched off.
- Any form of disrespect, intoxication (alcohol, drugs), or consumption of non-vegetarian food is strictly forbidden in Ahmedabad 's holy zones. Violators will face legal actions under Indian law.
5. Force Majeure & Right to Cancel
The Temple Administrator or District Magistrate holds supreme authority to cancel, postpone, or alter darshan timings, live telecasts, or booked poojas without prior notice due to VVIP movements, religious necessities (e.g., Shahi Snan, Simhastha Kumbh), or safety concerns. In such exceptional cases, refunds or rescheduling will be offered at the discretion of the Trust.
6. Jurisdiction
Any disputes arising out of these terms, or from the use of this website, shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Ahmedabad , Madhya Pradesh, India.
